My fiction writing doesn't happen during 'routine' writing time.

Because I have a full time day job (in finance) and work on Fiction factor admin stuff whenever I can (part-time job) the writing gets left to "spare time".

Keep in mind that I've got to allocate my spare time very carefully.
One evening is market research - looking for places to submit stuff I've written, stuff that's ready for reprint, stuff that might interest me for the future.

another evening is put aside for just editing - no creative time. No new stories or new characters. Editing. Period.

The rest of my spare time, I can't stop myself from writing. It demands my attention. I have a laptop that I drag around with me everywhere. I also have a 'net enabled cell phone with a voice recorder in it. I use whatever I have where ever I am and I'll write in tiny chunks during my breaks or inbetween clients.

I WISH I had a routine. Maybe one day
