To add to what everyone else has already said:

Writing software can't guarantee that it will help you published. You could spend a lot of money, spend a lot of time working with it, and still not get published.

While you're learning to use the tool, guess what you're not doing? Writing.

The tools force you to work in their method, and you may not work well in their method.

And here's the most important one: These tools are tailored for the beginning writer who isn't published. The pros don't use them. They stick to the good old standards like Word and WordPerfect.
